This report presents the main results of the 28th round of the Survey on the Access to Finance of Enterprises (SAFE) in the euro area, which was conducted between 6 March and 14 April 2023.
The ECB recently published the results of a pilot round of its survey on access to finance for businesses. The results show that 60% of companies attach more importance to transition risks than physical risks. Only 24% of companies plan to invest to reduce their climate footprint in the next five years. Companies indicate that subsidised loans are preferred to finance the green transition.
